Why Prospecting Still Works (When You Bring the Right Energy)

As we kick off another busy week, it’s easy to get caught up in systems, scripts, and strategies—and forget the simplest truth of all: the fundamentals still work.

This week, I made 30 prospecting calls.
From those calls came:

  • Appointments booked
  • Follow-ups locked in for next week
  • Plenty of quality, real conversations

And here’s the part that might surprise you…

I loved every minute of it.

I genuinely enjoy prospecting. I enjoy speaking to people, listening to their situations, and helping them work through their next move. And that enjoyment comes through in my voice.

People can hear when you:

  • Believe in what you do
  • Enjoy the process
  • Know you can help

That energy matters more than most agents realise.
It’s often the difference between a polite brush-off and a meaningful conversation.

Prospecting isn’t about forcing outcomes—it’s about showing up with the right mindset and letting consistency do the heavy lifting.

I wanted to share this because I firmly believe in leading by example.

I don’t just teach prospecting—I do it.
I don’t just talk about fundamentals—I apply them.

And here’s the proof:
When you combine consistent action with positive energy, results follow.

The calls turn into conversations.
The conversations turn into appointments.
And over time, those appointments turn into listings, sales, and momentum.

This is how strong real estate businesses are built—quietly, consistently, and deliberately.

So take a leaf out of my book this week.

  • Get on the phone
  • Bring the energy
  • Focus on connection, not just conversion
  • Remind yourself why you got into real estate in the first place

Because when you enjoy the work, people feel it—and the results take care of themselves.

Have a great week.

Here’s to your success,

Ryan & Anita Thompson
